LIVES CHANGED
Meet Grey
I was 11 when I began to learn about fasteners, metal works, sandblasting, and riveting at Bendix. It sparked something in me I had never felt before: ambition. If it weren’t for Bendix, I would not be who I am today.
Meet Mr. Lange
Being a Bendix mentor is an excellent way for people like me to pass on a lifetime of experience and time-honored skills to younger generations. I really enjoy knowing that my work here is inspiring and assisting kids to pursue their passions.
Meet Zelie
I don’t have anyone to teach me how to take apart an engine, fix my bike, or do electrical work. My school is too small to offer these things. But at Bendix, I’m learning it all. My mentors are empowering me and giving me equal standing in a male dominated arena.
Meet Mr. Mangani
I believe it’s imperative to give back to younger generations after four decades in industry. I love seeing students learn – they’re like sponges, eagerly absorbing the lessons. Bendix is giving them exciting insights into potential career paths in the skilled trades.
Meet Genessa
With a savant memory but difficulty fitting in with his peers, Grey found his calling at Bendix Academy. “I went from seeing him feel isolated and shunned and transform into to a young man full of passion and maturity. I am grateful beyond words,” says his mom.
Meet Mr. Beckwith
My payback in all of this? Seeing the smiles on the students’ faces as they learn new skills. And parents’ excitement in watching their child mature by experiencing Bendix’s toolmanship program.
Meet Leland
The skills and friendships that my son developed at Bendix have had a huge impact on his life and future. His experiences impacted him so much that he has chosen aeronautical engineering as a university and career goal. It’s been an amazing experience for my him.
Meet Mr. Stoscup
At Bendix, I watch students experience the pride of completing projects by their own hands like I did when I was a kid in my dad’s basement workshop. We are empowering our youth for today. And we are planting seeds for their futures!
