Ruthie provides her talent to Bendix Academy by finding, researching, and writing foundation grant applications. She has extensive experience in helping nonprofits develop their fundraising abilities. 

Based in Eastern Kentucky and raised in Texas, Ruthie graduated with her M.A. in Communication and B.A. in Theatre Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Ruthie is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with experience writing and managing grants for nonprofits, higher education, and government agencies. Her specialties include education, arts and humanities, healthcare, workforce development, and disabilities. Awarded grants she has successfully written and managed have ranged from small community foundation grants to large federal grants of $2.9M.

Previously, Ruthie has worked for Texas State University, Texas Hospital Association Foundation, State of Hawaii Workforce Development Council, Workforce Solutions Capital Area, and an Austin, Texas-based nonprofit for artists with disabilities called Imagine Art.

Ruthie brings specialties in grant writing, workshop and meeting facilitation, project management, relationship building, navigating systems, streamlining processes, designing projects, and building the capacity of organizations to the nonprofits she serves.
